Megan S. Chung joined the firm as a principal in January, 2006. She brings her extensive experience in domestic, international and cross-border transactional work to shape ideal and efficient structures for the firm's established and emerging business clients, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and company organizations. She has assisted biotechnology, pharmaceutical, software, cosmetic and e-commerce, as well as a myriad of public and closely-held business clients, in preparing sales, licensing, franchising, marketing and distribution agreements. Over the years, Megan's practice has been concentrated in the areas of closely-held business, commercial real estate transactions, and estates and trust.
Prior to joining the firm, Megan was the founding partner of the law firm of CK Legal, LLC, where she concentrated in serving the transactional needs of individuals and small to medium-sized businesses in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region and abroad. Megan has been an associate with McNamee Hosea, PA., in Greenbelt, Maryland, advising clients on a full range of transactional and civil litigation matters across the Washington, D.C. area. Her international and cross-border experience was gained as a foreign U.S. attorney with the Harry Elias Partnership in the Republic of Singapore, advising clients across Southeast and Northeast Asia.
Megan is also active in her community, serving as a Vice Chair and member of the board of Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, a non-profit legal service provider. She also serves with a number of religious and community service organizations.
