Brief History of Hale Ball
The firm of Hale Ball Carlson Baumgartner Murphy, PLC can trace its roots back to 1980 when the firm was formed from a division of Duvall, Tate Bywater & Blackburn, located in the town of Vienna. Over the years partners have come and gone, with the name changing as that attorneys changed, practicing for many years as Hale Carlson Penn.
The current firm resulted from the merger of the firm of Baumgartner-Pohlman in 2009, which brought business law expertise to the firms practice areas, and the merger of the firm of Jean Galloway Ball, PLC, in 2015, which expanded the firms practice areas with the addition of elder law and special needs planning.
In 2017 James L. Boring, Esquire a prominent business planning, estate planning and tax attorney, joined the firm as Senior Counsel, further enhancing the level of business and estate planning services the firm is able to provide to our clients.
